Rod: The vet told us to wait two more weeks (it's been one so far) especially since the weather has cooled off a bit. He thinks maybe the hot weather made him lose some weight. It takes a lot of energy for us to keep ourselves cool with all this hair! If, after two weeks he has lost more, or not gained any back.... the vet will come draw some blood. He wants to take xrays too, but Mom doesn't want Jimmy to have to leave the house unless absolutely needed. He gets quite aggitated and that won't help the weight loss situation to spend a day with Dr. Mark! The blood can be drawn right here at home, and Jimmy will just be upset for a little bit.
Jimmy: I'm still eating! I'm trying! I'm happy... just skinny.
Mom's Note: Thanks for the advice about the thyroid. Perhaps the vet will check for that if we end up needing to get blood work done. So far Jimmy is 100% fine with the exception of the weight loss. It's really bizarre.

hi guys, we live real close, i'm over in berkley! it has been really hot here. i've lost weight too and my Mom is a little worried. we thought it was 'cause i switched to Rx food 'cause i had stones in my bladder, but when i went to the vet they took blood. everything came back normal, but i still am thin. i think it's the heat.
