Rod: Mom is searching out a "mate" as we like to call it. While Jimmy and I don't really understand this since we had our "neutering," we hear that it is quite a search. Mom keeps bring strange male humans in to meet us. I usually protectivly get between the male human and Mom. I don't like other humans near her. Jimmy is a sucker. He doesn't care whose lap it is, or who pets him, as long as it happens.
Jimmy: Rod doesn't know my secret. I go get high on catnip (I steal into the cupboard and chew open the plastic bags) before the male human arrives so that once he is there, it's not so hard to take. I don't want to share Mom either!

It's a strange thing. Try as we might, sometimes humans need other humans, not just us. Just be your cutest and one day, you'll get a Dad.
Hmmm, we ask Mom about this mate thingy and she said it was too hard to explain but to put it the easiest way people need people as companions of their own species because it is an innate biological drive that............zzzzzzzzzzzz this is where we fell asleep so we can't help much, sorry. If that "male" is anything like a dog...put a stop to it now! Dogs make messes, and loud obnoxious noises and generally disrupt a nice quiet household. Trust me on this.
